The Point Cottage – Our Family Cottage Retreat

The Point Cottage is the latest addition to Bayside Farm & Cottages. Extensively renovated and restored, this spacious, three-level family cottage is the perfect vacation getaway for a wedding, family gathering or reunion, or staff retreat. The warm and beautifully-aged wooden doors, floors, and staircase, the luminous sunroom and upper deck, the bright galley kitchen and adjoining sitting room and the open living room and dining area offer a cozy, relaxed environment for that long-awaited vacation. There are four bedrooms, 7 beds (including two queen-size beds), and an additional cot and sofa bed. There are 3 bathrooms including an ensuite off the master bedroom on the top floor. And all of this on a spectacular oceanfront property scattered with spruce and birch trees on beautiful St. Mary’s Bay.

Amenities

The Point Cottage has all the essentials from cooking utensils, small appliances, pots and pans to bedding and linens. But there’s much more. A propane barbecue and lawn furniture are provided for entertaining family and friends. There are numerous books, magazines, and board games available. The Point Cottage has a separate laundry room with a conventional washer and dryer and the kitchen is equipped a microwave, a dishwasher, and a full-size fridge and stove. For those chilly nights, there is a woodstove on the ground floor and a wood insert in the fireplace on the second or main floor of the cottage. The sunroom, that stretches across the entire width of the house, has additional tables and chairs for those unexpected visitors, children or supper guests.  There is cable television, a flat-screen TV and wi-fi connection, a telephone, and a large outdoor firepit (with firewood) that any number of friends and family can gather around on a clear summer’s night. And there is plenty of parking for one, two or more vehicles.
